Morane-Saulnier is a French aircraft manufacturing company founded in 1911 by Raymond Saulnier and the Morane brothers. The company produced a range of military and civilian aircraft throughout the 20th century, including the iconic Morane-Saulnier Type L, which was used extensively during World War I. In addition to building aircraft, Morane-Saulnier also designed and manufactured engines and propellers. The company was known for its innovative designs and played a major role in the development of the modern aircraft industry. Today, the company has been folded into the French aerospace group Alenia Aermacchi.
